Introducing Oliver! This darling boy came to the studio with his mom and dad. He was born in the holiday season, so his parents requested some holiday accents and props. I prefer to keep holiday props somewhat subtle and not too overwhelming. I included a holiday-colored hat and some sweet little handheld props, in this case a little felted candy cane. Additionally, mom and dad expressed their preference for neutral colors throughout Oliver’s newborn photoshoot. Neutrals are my most-requested color-scheme so to add some visual interest, I will use various textures including eyelash fabrics, furs, chunky knits, and so on.
About four weeks prior to a newborn session, I will reach out to the client and request they fill out a newborn pre-session questionnaire. This form asks for their preferences for the baby’s session, such as colors, props, textures, etc. Additionally, it allows me to prepare ahead of time so I can be ready when the client arrives to the studio. Rest assured, the studio includes any color you can imagine.
Please enjoy a few images from Oliver’s newborn photography photoshoot.
